Getting Started with your KeyMaster Keyboard

You may have a few questions about how to best utilize your KeyMaster keyboard for touch type mastery.  Let's get you going!

SOFTWARE UPDATE:  If your computer is operating with a Windows 10 version 20H2 or higher a software update is required to restore proper functionality to your numeric keypad.  Please follow the instructions below to install your Learning Lights Keyboard update:
* No update is required for Mac or Chrome operating systems.

Option 1: Software Upgrade (permanently restores keypad functionality)

  1. Use USB cord to plug in KeyMaster Keyboard to your computer
  2. Download the KeyMaster Learning Lights Software Upgrade.
  3. Open the file and follow the instructions to install the keymaster_software_update.exe file.
  4. Test the numeric keypad on your keyboard to ensure that proper function of the numeric keypad has been restored.

 
Option 2: Quick Fix (will restore keypad functionality for current computer/user only)

  1. Use USB cord to plug in KeyMaster Keyboard to your computer
  2. On the right hand side of your keyboard press   to pull up your on-screen keyboard.
  3. Click options, then check the box "Turn on Numeric Keypad", then press OK.
  4. On the on-screen keyboard press "NumLock", then close the on-screen keyboard.
  5. Your numeric keypad should now be working properly.
